Lew Barn is a guest house in the village of Bradworthy, Holsworthy. It is a converted barn with en-suite accommodation two miles from the North Devon/Cornwall border, perfectly situated for exploring both Cornwall and Devon. This rustic B & B is close to the seaside town of Clovelly, surfing beaches of Bude, Westward Ho and Hartland point, shopping towns of Bideford and Barnstaple and National Parks of Exmoor and Dartmoor. This North Devon B & B is ideal for touring, cycling and walking, being so close to the Tarka trail and South West cycle route (no.3). We are a dog friendly guest house looking to provide dog kennel facilities later this year so you can take a day out without your pet if you wish, at owners’ risk. Parking is off road and free.
Lew Barn has large diverse gardens with a fish stocked lake, bordered by 2 streams. We are a small friendly B & B offering accommodation in the form of en-suite rooms with digital TV’s and coffee and tea making facilities. We are on the SW cycle route (no.3) Lands End to John O’Groates and on the doorstep of the Tarka trail so if walking or cycling is your enjoyment you will love Lew Barn. In the local area we also have horse riding, Exmoor and Dartmoor Parks are only an hour drive away and of course there are many beautiful beaches where you can swim, sunbathe surf or just sightsee.
If you prefer a more relaxing day then why not enjoy our grounds, have a barbeque or just sit and watch the fish in the lake, even try your hand at catching a few but make sure your rod licence is up to date, then later on as the day begins to draw in you could amble up the road to Bradworthy village, a short 5 mins walk, visit the local 14th century Inn and sample their fine ales and delicious food – good English cooking with a twist of… you had better ask the chef but whatever it is we keep going back for more and if you time it just right you might be walking back beneath one of our magnificent sunsets. We will even provide you with a torch and umbrella for the walk!
In the morning to set you up for the day ahead enjoy a full English breakfast freshly cooked from local produce where possible or if you prefer something lighter there is the continental option.

Kingfisher Cottage is newly converted and decorated. This self-catering cottage has everything needed for a very comfortable stay, sleeping up to 4 people plus cot. The pine kitchen is well equipped and has a fitted oven and hob, washing machine, fridge, microwave oven and kettle. Cutlery, utensils, crockery and saucepans etc are all provided.

Upstairs there is a bedroom, with a double bed and the best view in the house, overlooking the patio, stream and garden. A clock radio and hairdryer are supplied.
Outside there is a patio with barbeque and ample parking.
Guests have full use of the garden and lake.
Bed and Breakfast Accommodation comprises of two suites. in suite 1there is a four poster king sized bed, bunk beds and a private en-suite and suite 2 is a two bedroom unit, the main bedroom having twin beds which can be zipped together to make a king sized bed and bedroom 2 has a single bed.
All rooms are situated on the ground floor and are newly decorated with colour digital television, hairdryer, clock radio and complimentary tea/coffee making facilities. A cot and high chair are available on request. Smoking is not permitted. |
